Take-Two Interactive has announced that the highly anticipated "Grand Theft Auto VI" is scheduled for release in fall 2025, putting to an end any speculation about a potential delay into 2026. This confirmation was included in Take-Two's recent earnings report, where the company reiterated its commitment to the newly set release timeframe.

Rockstar Games, the developer behind the series, officially announced "Grand Theft Auto 6" last December. The unveiling was accompanied by a trailer that quickly set a record as the most-watched video game reveal on YouTube in its first 24 hours. The game is set in the fictional city of Leonida, inspired by modern-day Florida. Players will navigate the game world through the perspectives of Lucia and a male character who remains officially unnamed.

Since the game's announcement, there has been speculation and excitement surrounding the release details, with fans eagerly dissecting every update from the developers. Nonetheless, both Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games are aiming to meet the fall 2025 release target.

As of now, "Grand Theft Auto 6" is slated for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Although a PC version will not be available at launch, hopes remain high that it will not be long before it becomes accessible to PC gamers.
