OpenAI has announced that the ChatGPT app for Mac is now available to all users. Initially released in mid-May, the app was previously accessible only to ChatGPT Plus subscribers, but it is now open to everyone.

The ChatGPT Mac app is designed to simplify access to ChatGPT, allowing users to ask questions about emails, screenshots, websites, and other content directly from their Mac. Once the app is installed, users can press Option + Space on their keyboard to open a chat interface for interacting with ChatGPT.

The app includes several features such as Voice Mode for voice conversations, a search function to look through past conversations, and more. With this wider availability, there is no need for a subscription plan to use ChatGPT on the Mac. OpenAI has also made the latest version, GPT-4, available for free, although this is limited to a certain number of requests.
