Sonos has finally entered the wireless headphone market with the introduction of the Sonos Ace. Officially announced today, the new headphones will be available for purchase starting June 5, 2024 at a retail price of $449.

The Sonos Ace wireless headphones feature advanced noise-canceling capabilities and are designed to integrate seamlessly with the existing Sonos ecosystem. This integration allows for a fluid transition of audio from devices like the Sonos Arc soundbar to the headphones, improving the user's experience with features such as dynamic head-tracking. The headphones' audio performance is powered by 40mm dynamic drivers, tuned with True Cinema technology to adapt to the acoustic characteristics of the listening environment.

The Sonos control app has been recently updated to support the new headphones, offering a redesigned interface and enhanced personalization options. The app now also supports more products, improving user interaction with the expanded Sonos ecosystem. The Sonos Ace is set to further enrich the Sonos audio experience with planned future firmware updates that will allow these headphones to connect seamlessly with other Sonos soundbars.

When it comes to design, these headphones are crafted with over-ear Bluetooth technology, and their 40mm dynamic drivers are angled to align with the listener's ears. Each pair of Sonos Ace headphones comes with a hard case made from recycled materials. The case is designed for travel, complete with a convenient pouch for cables. For connectivity, the headphones offer Bluetooth 5.4 with multi-point pairing, Snapdragon Sound with aptX Lossless support, and a USB-C connection for high-fidelity audio, including compatibility with Apple Lossless files.

These headphones also support Dolby Atmos and are capable of delivering head-tracked spatial audio from any compatible Bluetooth device. They boast a battery life of 30 hours with active noise cancellation enabled, and offer rapid charging capabilities that provide three hours of use from just a three-minute charge.
