Samsung has unveiled its latest budget-friendly smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch FE. This new model retains the design and specs of the Watch 4 but comes with slight upgrades. The Galaxy Watch FE features a chassis size of 40.4 x 39.3 x 9.8mm, similar to the Watch 4, and will be available in a single 40mm size, without the 44mm option. It boasts a 1.2-inch AMOLED display and 16GB of storage.

Powered by the Exynos W920 dual-core processor with 1.5GB of RAM, the Galaxy Watch FE offers decent performance relative to the latest models. The battery capacity remains at 247 mAh. It is water-resistant up to 5ATM and meets the MIL-STD-810H durability standards. The smartwatch includes Samsung's BioActive sensors and runs on WearOS.

A key feature distinguishing the Watch FE from the Watch 4 is its sapphire glass cover, which provides improved durability and better protection against scratches compared to the Gorilla Glass DX+ used in the Watch 4. It includes sleep-tracking tools, heart rate monitors, blood pressure sensors, and supports ECG for monitoring heart health. It also offers workout routines and allows users to set personalized fitness goals.

The Galaxy Watch FE will be available starting June 24th in three colors: black, pink gold, and silver. It is priced at $199, with the LTE variant available for $249.99. This new smartwatch aims to compete with the Apple Watch SE, offering a health-tracking system at a lower price point.
