tinyPod is reimagining the iPod by transforming the Apple Watch into a compact, portable music device. This accessory offers a nostalgic nod to the classic iPod while integrating the advanced features of the Apple Watch.

Apple discontinued the iPod in May 2022 after more than two decades. For those who miss the iPod, tinyPod provides an enticing solution by utilizing the Apple Watch. The tinyPod serves as an enclosure for the Apple Watch, effectively converting it into an iPod-like device. It features a design inspired by the iPod, with rounded corners and a simplified look.

TinyPod is marketed as a fun way to leave your iPhone at home, leveraging the cellular capabilities of the Apple Watch to retain many essential functions. The design keeps the Apple Watch's rear sensor exposed, allowing users to continue using health-related features and charge the battery without removing it from the enclosure. Although the Digital Crown is not directly accessible, users can interact with it via a scroll wheel on the front of the TinyPod. This wheel mechanically turns the Digital Crown based on the user’s finger movements.

For those who prefer a simpler design, the tinyPod Lite is available. This version omits the scroll wheel and instead provides side access to the Apple Watch, enabling users to manually operate the Digital Crown.

tinyPod is available in various sizes to fit different Apple Watch models, including 40/41mm, 44/45mm, and 49mm. The standard tinyPod with a scroll wheel is priced at $79.99 for the smaller sizes, while the Lite version costs $29.99. For the larger Ultra-sized models, the prices are $89.99 and $39.99, respectively.

Most tinyPod models are expected to ship in the summer, with some models arriving in the fall.
