Samsung has expanded its home entertainment lineup with the official launch of The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 ultra-short throw projectors. Initially previewed at CES earlier this year, these new models are designed to deliver 4K resolution, with The Premiere 9 featuring triple laser technology for better color accuracy and brightness. Both projectors support HDR10+ and can project images up to 130 inches.

Color accuracy on The Premiere 9 covers 154% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, while The Premiere 7 covers 100% of the same standard. In terms of brightness, The Premiere 9 offers up to 3,450 ISO lumens, and The Premiere 7 provides 2,500 ISO lumens, making both models suitable for different lighting conditions.

Samsung has incorporated AI technology into these projectors, including improved 4K AI Upscaling and Vision Booster, which adjusts color and contrast in real-time based on ambient lighting. This should ensure that the picture is optimized regardless of the environment.

On the audio front, The Premiere 9 is equipped with a 40W 2.2.2 channel speaker system, while The Premiere 7 features a 30W 2.2 channel system. Both models support Dolby Atmos.

Powered by Samsung’s Tizen OS, The Premiere projectors offer access to popular streaming services like Samsung TV Plus, Netflix, YouTube, and Amazon Prime Video. For gamers, the integrated Samsung Gaming Hub provides access to over 3,000 premium titles from partners like Xbox, all without requiring a console. There’s also a Custom Ambient mode that allows users to personalize their space with custom projections, such as personal photos, interactive widgets, or downloaded content.

These projectors also serve as smart speakers with hands-free voice control and SmartThings integration, enabling users to manage smart home devices directly from the projector. Content sharing is straightforward with features like Tap View and Mirroring, allowing easy display of smartphone content on the big screen.

Designed with a minimalist aesthetic, The Premiere projectors feature a warm white exterior and premium fabric finishes by Danish textile company Kvadrat, allowing them to blend seamlessly into any home decor.

The Premiere 9 and The Premiere 7 are now available for purchase through Samsung’s website and select retailers. As a promotional offer, Samsung is including The Freestyle 2nd Gen at no additional cost with the purchase of either projector until September 15.
