Apple is set to host a special event on Tuesday, May 7, at 7 a.m. Pacific Time, which will be streamed live on Apple.com and on YouTube. The event, which bears the tagline "Let Loose," prominently features an artistic rendering of an Apple Pencil in its invitation, hinting at a focus on new iPads.

The upcoming event is expected to showcase significant updates to Apple's iPad lineup, including the introduction of new iPad Pro and iPad Air models. These updates are rumored to include the integration of M3 chips in the iPad Pro and M2 chips in the iPad Air. The iPad Pro may also receive an upgrade to OLED displays. A larger 12.9-inch version of the iPad Air is also anticipated.

Alongside these hardware updates, Apple is also expected to unveil refreshed versions of the Apple Pencil and Magic Keyboard. This event comes after over two years since the last update to the iPad Air and approximately 18 months following the introduction of M2 chips in the iPad Pros.
