TCL has officially launched its TV lineup range in the United States, headlined by the colossal 115-inch QM89 model. This lineup also includes the QM8 and QM7 series, which offer TVs in sizes from 55 to 98 inches.

Mini-LED technology is increasingly becoming a fixture in premium television models, now offering sizes up to 98 inches. These large screens are becoming serious competitors to high-end 4K projectors, which, while capable, often require more intricate setups and usually offer less brightness than their TV counterparts.

The flagship 115-inch QM89 model stands out with its capacity to reach up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness and features an impressive 20,000 local dimming zones. It is powered by TCL’s advanced AiPQ Ultra processor, which allows precise control with over 65,000 adjustment levels for local dimming. The TV also incorporates Ultra-Wide-Angle Lens technology for consistent light distribution and Optical Distance Reduction technology, which TCL states minimizes backlight blooming effects.

When it comes to audio on the QM89, you’ll find a 6.2.2 channel speaker system from Onkyo. This model also includes an anti-glare screen, a next-generation ATSC 3.0 TV tuner, and can be customized for integration with home control systems. The QM89 is expected to hit the market soon with a retail price of $26,999.99.

The QM8 Series for 2024 features the same AiPQ Ultra processor found in QM89. These TVs support a native 120Hz refresh rate, extendable to 144Hz via VRR, with a Game Accelerator 240 feature for enhanced gaming at high refresh rates. The series boasts up to 5,000 nits brightness and 5,000 local dimming zones, along with anti-glare technology and a 2.1.2-channel Dolby Atmos sound system. They are also equipped with the latest ATSC 3.0 tuner and Wi-Fi 6 for seamless streaming. The QM8 Series is currently available in sizes ranging from 65 to 98 inches. Prices are below.

The series is fitted with a 2.1-channel Onkyo speaker system that includes a built-in subwoofer. The QM7 models range in size from 55 to 98 inches.

The TCL Q68 series substitutes mini-LED technology with full-array local dimming (FALD) using conventional LEDs, still achieving up to 600 peak nits for vibrant visuals. Screen sizes from 55 to 75 inches feature a 60Hz native refresh rate, whereas the 85-inch model boasts a 120Hz native refresh rate and supports 144Hz VRR. All models are compatible with Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG.

TCL's entry-level QLED televisions, the Q65, offer a diverse array of features that vary by screen size. All models are equipped to support Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG, and they also process and pass through Dolby Atmos audio. For refresh rates, the smaller models ranging from 43 inches to 75 inches include a 60Hz native refresh rate. In contrast, the larger 85-inch and 98-inch versions upgrade to a 120Hz native panel refresh rate, featuring a Game Accelerator 240 mode that enables up to 240 VRR gaming.
