DJI is expanding its product lineup into the portable power station sector in the US and Europe with two new offerings: the Power 1000 and Power 500. Initially launched in China last year, these power stations cater to both domestic users and those needing power while traveling. They are compatible with solar panels, making them ideal for outdoor use.

The Power 1000 weighs 29 pounds and boasts a capacity of 1,024 Wh which can deliver up to 2,200W of power. This is sufficient to operate a microwave oven at home for around 1.3 hours, keep a car refrigerator running for 19 hours, or recharge a drone up to 12 times. On the other hand, the lighter Power 500 weighs 16.3 pounds and offers a 512 Wh capacity with a 1,000W output which is priced at half that of the Power 1000.

Both models feature fast and standard recharging options. The Power 1000 can be fast recharged at 1200W or standard recharged at 600W, whereas the Power 500 supports 540W fast and 270W standard recharging. Each model can reach a full charge in about 70 minutes, or achieve an 80% charge in just 50 minutes.

Both units are equipped with standard AC plugs and two USB-C PD output ports, with the Power 1000 supporting up to 140W and the Power 500 up to 100W charging, suitable for most laptops.

The Power 1000 is currently available for purchase for $1,000 directly from DJI's store, and the Power 500 is available for $500. Customers can also purchase a 120W Zignes solar panel for an additional $299, which requires a DJI Power Solar Panel Adapter Module or a DJI Power Car Power Outlet to SDC Power Cable for connectivity.
