Max Launches SharePlay Feature Globally for Ad-Free Plans
Streaming service Max has expanded its SharePlay feature to all countries where Max is available. Initially, this feature was exclusive to Apple devices in the United States. Starting today, Max users with Apple devices and Ad-Free or Ultimate Ad-Free plans can use SharePlay regardless of their location, as long as Max is accessible in their country.
SharePlay allows subscribers to watch content simultaneously with friends and family on Apple devices, including iPhones, iPads, Apple TVs, and Apple Vision Pros. Playback is synchronized across all devices in the SharePlay session.
Contacts invited via FaceTime need to select Open and then Join SharePlay. For those invited through Messages, they should tap the show or movie title at the top of the conversation and select Open. The Max app will open and start playing the selected content in sync with everyone else. You can also switch to your Apple TV from your iPhone or iPad by selecting the AirPlay icon in the Max app.
