Samsung Expands OLED Line with S85D Series and S90D Additions

Samsung Electronics has recently announced its expanding its OLED TV offerings with the introduction of the S85D series and additional sizes in the S90D series. The new S85D series, targeted as an entry-level option, is now available in 55-inch, 65-inch, and 77-inch models. These models boast Samsung's advanced NQ4 AI Gen2 Processor, 4K AI Upscaling, and Pantone Validated Colors.


The S85D TVs also feature HDR+ and HDR10+ capabilities, four HDMI 2.1 ports supporting eARC, ALLM, and 4K at 120Hz, as well as Filmmaker Mode. The integration of Dolby Atmos and Samsung’s Object Tracking Sound Lite which is designed to dynamically track objects across the screen.


Samsung has also added to its S90D series with new sizes that now include 42-inch, 48-inch, 77-inch, and 83-inch models, complementing the existing 55-inch and 65-inch options. While the smallest 42-inch model will be available soon, the others are currently on the market for purchase. The feature set of the S90D series mirrors that of the S85D, without incorporating the quantum dot display technology.
